C&rsquo;est une invention qui fit de l\u2019Observatoire du Pic du Midi un site pionnier pour l\u2019observation du Soleil, appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 des astronomes sp\u00e9cialistes de notre \u00e9toile dans le monde entier.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><em><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times,serif;\"><strong>Notre coronographe est une lunette qui a une lentille frontale de 103 mm et une longueur focale de 2.000 mm. Il est motoris\u00e9 double axe et dot\u00e9 d&rsquo;un suivi.<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times,serif; font-size: 20px;\">C&rsquo;est une lunette astronomique qui va g\u00e9n\u00e9rer, par la pr\u00e9sence d&rsquo;un cache interne, <strong>une \u00e9clipse artificielle<\/strong> de Soleil. Cette pi\u00e8ce circulaire va exactement cacher la totalit\u00e9 du disque solaire mais pas plus ! On occultera donc le Soleil lui-m\u00eame et on pourra ainsi se concentrer (sans \u00e9blouissement) sur la couronne solaire qui est la zone qui entoure notre \u00e9toile \u00e0 partir de sa surface et de voir parfaitement les protub\u00e9rances solaires, ces \u00e9normes jets de mati\u00e8re qui sortent du Soleil.
