Elle est pleine de surprises, tout comme ses lunes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 20px;\">La mission Juno de la NASA, qui a commenc\u00e9 pas la mise en orbite de la sonde en juillet 2016, vient juste de r\u00e9aliser son 34<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup> survol rapproch\u00e9 de la g\u00e9ante gazeuse. La mission a \u00e9t\u00e9 prolong\u00e9e cette ann\u00e9e, avec un proche survol de Ganym\u00e8de le 7 juin dernier.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 20px;\">Ce passage \u00e0 basse altitude lui a aussi donn\u00e9 la possibilit\u00e9 de photographier Ganym\u00e8de \u00e0 courte distance. Aucune sonde ne s\u2019\u00e9tait aventur\u00e9e aussi pr\u00e8s depuis le survol de Galileo il y a plus de vingt ans. Dans l\u2019animation r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par la NASA, on d\u00e9couvre les diff\u00e9rentes r\u00e9gions claires et sombres \u00e0 la surface de Ganym\u00e8de, ainsi que plusieurs crat\u00e8res d\u2019impact tr\u00e8s brillants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 20px;\">Les donn\u00e9es et les images de ces survols r\u00e9\u00e9crivent tout ce que nous pensions savoir sur Jupiter, dit Scott Bolton, le principal investigateur de Juno \u00e0 l\u2019Institut de Recherche du sud-ouest \u00e0 San Antonio (Texas), pendant une conf\u00e9rence d\u2019automne \u00e0 l\u2019Union Am\u00e9ricaine de G\u00e9ophysique \u00e0 la Nouvelle-Orl\u00e9ans vendredi dernier.<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 525px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-11214-1\" width=\"525\" height=\"295\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"http:\/\/gap47.astrosurf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Juno-Flies-Past-the-Moon-Ganymede-and-Jupiter-With-Music-by-Vangelis.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/gap47.astrosurf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Juno-Flies-Past-the-Moon-Ganymede-and-Jupiter-With-Music-by-Vangelis.mp4\">http:\/\/gap47.astrosurf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Juno-Flies-Past-the-Moon-Ganymede-and-Jupiter-With-Music-by-Vangelis.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 20px;\">Le spectateur est ensuite transport\u00e9 3400 kilom\u00e8tres au-dessus de la surface nuageuse de Jupiter. Au milieu d\u2019un magnifique maelstrom de volutes gazeuses, plusieurs cyclones sont visibles sous la forme d\u2019ovales blancs ainsi que de nombreux \u00e9clairs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 20px;\">C\u2019est ici que Bolton a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 une bande de 50 secondes de sons, cr\u00e9\u00e9e quand Juno survolait Ganym\u00e8de l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 dernier. Le clip audio de cette lune a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 par des ondes radio, \u00e9lectriques et magn\u00e9tiques, produites par le champ magn\u00e9tique du satellite et enregistr\u00e9es par un instrument de Juno, con\u00e7u pour d\u00e9tecter ces ondes.
